Fiji, Australia & Africa - Extraordinary Travels PDF Print E-mail

Since completing the 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting at Nairobi Lighthouse, at the end of January this year, I have been blessed to travel to several nations in the two months that have followed. First up, February 9th brought my departure for Suva, Fiji to minister at the incredible World Harvest Centre with Pastor Suliasi Kurulo. The weekend was extraordinary, to say the least. Took over 700 of their pastors, wives and leaders on an Encounter and also ministered a joint Sunday Missions' service, as Pr. Suli combined their English, Indian and Fijian congregations together. South America was the continent on which this amazing missions' church focused that Sunday. Here's a picture of one of their presentations. All ministry teams dressed South American style. One very special aspect of the weekend was to have a businessman and leader in Lighthouse, Gerry Rasugu, help me with ministry, especially on the Encounter. Gerry was in Fiji on business the same time I was there to serve this church.

Next I traveled to Sydney, Australia for the Global 12 Project World Zone Summit with Pastor Larry Stockstill. Our three day Summit (Feb. 17-20) with eleven of the twelve world leaders was extraordinary. In the past ten years, since coming together in this project, we have planted over 19,500 churches around the world! To God be the glory. Immediately following the Summit, I was privileged to be part of the Imaginations Missions Conference at Imaginations Church with Pastor Jack Hanes. My life is always changed at this annual event; this year was very special as many of the world zone leaders were able to stay to be part of the conference. Imaginations Church faith promised over a million Aussie dollars over the next twelve months! Thanks to Pastor Jack & Carol for hosting, first the Summit and then the incredible faith promise conference.

One of the most fulfilling trips Amy and I have made this year was the most recent of our travels to Nelspruit, South Africa. Three years ago Nairobi Lighthouse planted Pr. Alfred & Edith Wamai in Nelspruit and on March 28th, we had the great joy of officially launching Nelspruit Lighthouse. They began in a board room on the 7th floor of an office complex in the city and just a couple of months ago God blessed them with a building right in the heart of the city which they lease each Saturday & Sunday. The room was packed for the launch. Over five nations were represented at this extraordinary event and at the end, Pr. Alfie & Edith had arranged for everyone to share a 'Braai' (BBQ) together. We are so proud of the Wamais and those who have joined them from NLC to help them get rolling.

The same Sunday we were at Nelspruit Lighthouse, the pastors of Nairobi Lighthouse launched an extraordinary 6 point strategy to raise Kshs. 120 Million ($US 1.5 million) over the next three months to buy our building here in Nairobi. More on this in the next post but for now, you should check out the following video of the pastors 'throwing it down' in a special dance the Sunday we launched the strategy.  You will love it...www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6TllFrkjqc.

Pastor's Song
by Donna Jackson

You answered the call and obeyed God's
command
He sent you here, we know you're in His hands
Your message from the
Word, touches our very soul
We've seen your faithfulness and we want you to
know

Pastor, we love you, we appreciate all you do
And God sees the
sacrifice, you've made for Jesus Christ
And we know one day, you'll hear your
Father say,
"My child, well done, my child, well done"

In the still
quiet place, on your knees in prayer
God sees your tears, Hears the burdens you
bear
The Lord's by your side, He blesses all that you do
Through the good and
bad times, He'll see you through

Pastor, we love you, we appreciate all you
do
And God sees the sacrifice, you've made for Jesus Christ
You pray for the
lost and God leads them to the Cross
And we know one day, you'll hear your
Father say,
"My child, well done, my child, well done"

Pastor Don- I just came across your blog and wanted to thank you for your
faithfulness in building the Kingdom of God in Kenya. You have raised up so many
great leaders through your ministry. Many have gone to different places and have
impacted so many lives, businesses and churches! What a great man of God you
are! I still live my life on the foundations you planted. I thank the Lord for
you and feel privileged to have had the chance to be a part of NLC for many
years. God bless you and your family. Solo Mwania

He will fulfill his word and NLC shall purchase her building. God Bless you and
